We decided to create a Twitter, You Tube, Vine and Instagram account
for crayon productions. This was to simply address our primary target
audience; 15-30years old. We didn't however create a Facebook, because
the average person on Facebook now days are very young 11-13 year old
group, or middle-age people using Facebook to talk to their families.
creating a facebook would have been a waste of advertising for our film
and bad word of mouth, because we would be advertising to the wrong
audience.
Twitter brings the perfect target audience for our thriller, whether it be horror/thriller lovers or the older audience wanting a thrill and a good classic jumpy suspense packed movie and a good night out. We promoted our movie by using hash-tags such as #SWEETDREAMS in capitals to catch peoples attention, we would also post pictures of our location setting and our YouTube videos of doing makeup on the days we filmed to excite our audience and give them a teaser of whats to come.https://twitter.com/CRAYonproduct
You Tube videos were posted on our YouTube page and our Instagram and twitter has screenshots of our YouTube account so the person can be transferred straight to that link. YouTube videos we simply the props and costumes and bloopers we made while filming our thriller.
The application Vine has all the people in our group talking about the thriller and different people around school commenting on out movie in short funny videos. we also had a critics view on the movie who knows a lot about the film industry commenting on our opening of the thriller.
